Walter White
Walter Herman White, lifelong resident of Bald
Hill, died Friday morning, September 19, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
He was 82. Walter was born November 4, 1925 in Bald Hill to William and Laveda
Caroline (Plank) White. He married Betty Rainwater on September 11, 1947 in
Oklahoma City. Walter loved playing basketball and most of all watching his son
and grandsons rodeo. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Beatrice
Allen, Dorothy Burns, Georgia Clarkson and Gerldine White and brothers, William
Edgar, Charlie, Orville, Elzie, and Clarence White. Survivors include his loving
wife of 61 years, Betty, a son, Randy White, two grandsons, Walt White and wife
Tricia and Wade White and wife Carrie, two great grandchildren, whom he greatly
enjoyed, Jordan and Clay, a sister, Marie Grimmett, and several nieces and
nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 22, 2008 at
the Twin Hills Gymnasium with Reverend Marty Brock officiating, assisted by
Reverend Kevin Wadsworth. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Butch Hardesty, Billy Melson, Bob Pinkston, Robert
Pinkston, Ronnie Brewer and Jackie Parker. Friends may visit the funeral home on
Sunday from 1-8 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of the
