Dorothy A. Williams


Dorothy A. Williams 75, a resident of Okmulgee since 1966, passed away in Okmulgee on June 30, 2005. Dorothy was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on April 5, 1930 to Noah R. and Edna Mae "Littrell" Ritchie.

She married Chalmers S. Williams in Okmulgee on March 21, 1966. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Dewar, Oklahoma, Okmulgee Pony Girls, and the Faith Baptist Church. She also was a volunteer at George Nigh Rehabilitation Center with 1100 hours given.

Preceding Dorothy in death were her parents and a daughter, Carlene McCullar.

Survivors include her husband, Chalmers S. Williams of Okmulgee, a sister, Estelle Scott of Bakersfield, California a brother A.W. Ritchie of Fresno, California, several grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 10 am at the Faith Baptist Church in Okmulgee. Pastor Everett Lerch, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma. Visitation will be at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home on Monday, July 4, 2005, 12-8 pm.
