Gabriel Lee "Gabe" Williams, Sr., 35, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at his home in Okmulgee. He was born August 12, 1971 in Hayward, California to the late David Lee Williams and Naomi Elaine (Harsha) Shelton. He enjoyed watching football and playing catch with his boys. Survivors include his wife, Rachel Smith, of the home, two sons, Gabriel Lee Williams, Jr. and Christian Gabriel Williams, two step-sons, John and Ryan Potter, a step-daughter, Jessica Ringgold, a brother Chris Williams and wife Teresa of Mosspoint, Mississippi, uncle, Jessie Shelton of Little, North Carolina, brother-in-law, Billy Smith of Okmulgee, sisters-in-law, Tammy and husband Jon Chastain of Okmulgee and Judy Hurst and husband Buddy of Okmulgee, mother-in-law, Milissia Smith of Okmulgee, father-in-law, Bill Smith of Okmulgee, nieces and nephews, Billy, Mark, Jonathin, Clint, Luke, and Ashley Chastain, Denara Smith, and Buddy and Mercedes Hurst. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 23, 2007 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Chris Williams, Buddy Lee Hurst III, Jonathin Chastain, Don Clark, Robert Miller, Kye Hurst, Billy Smith, Jr., Victor Morgen, Marty Wittmen, and Shawn Todd.
