Mary Leotta Wittman

Mary Leotta Wittman, longtime Okmulgee resident, died Friday evening, March 26, 2004 in Okmulgee. She was 69 years of age. She was born August 15, 1934 in Picher to Luther Z. and Grace E. (Barnes) Childers. For many years she was a forklift operator at Liberty Glass in Sapulpa and later became a home health provider. She loved to crochet and paint and was of the Pentecostal Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack Wittman, a son, Tommey Dale Holley, three sisters, Zampa Hancock, Wilma Cash, and Wanda Childers, and a brother, Lyod Childers. Survivors include a son, Marty Shane Wittman of Okmulgee, a daughter, Melody Marie Wittman of Tulsa, a brother, Chester Childers of Dewar, and two grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with her son, Marty Wittman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
